Installation Prep Guide
✅ Get Ready for Your Garage Door Installation
Thanks for booking your garage door installation with PT Doors. To ensure everything runs smoothly on the day, please review and follow the checklist below.
Your Appointment Window
Our team will arrive within your scheduled 2-hour window.
If we’re running ahead or behind, we’ll give you a call.
Note: Notice calls are only available by request and not before 9:00am. We appreciate the same courtesy if your availability changes.
1. Payment Details
Unless you are an approved account holder, the balance is due in full on completion of the install via EFTPOS machine or cash.
We do not accept cheques.
If you wish to pay by bank transfer and are not using OSKO, payment must be made 24 hours before installation, and proof of payment must be emailed to info@ptdoors.com.au.
Bank Transfer Details:
• Payment Reference: Please use your job number
• Bank: Traill Holdings Pty Ltd
• BSB: 032260
• Account: 298719
Credit card payments incur a 1.5% surcharge.
If you won’t be home, make sure someone you trust is onsite — they’ll act as your authorised decision maker and must be prepared to make payment.
2. Move Vehicles & Equipment
Please move all vehicles out of the garage and clear the driveway.
This includes removing any skip bins, tools, or building materials that may block access.
Our team needs space to park close to the garage and work safely around the area.
3. Clear the Garage
Ensure the interior of your garage has enough working space:
- Roller Doors: 2 metres of clear space
- Sectional, Panel or Tilt Doors with Motors: 4 metres of clear space
Remove boxes, tools, shelves, or anything that could obstruct the work area or risk damage during installation.
4. Keep Kids & Pets Safe
Installers use heavy tools and equipment. For everyone’s safety, children and pets must stay clear of the garage and driveway during the job.
5. Site-Specific Requirements
- If your power point is more than 1 metre from where the motor will be installed, please provide an extension lead.
- Check your quote for any specific site instructions — such as needing to remove light fittings or pipes before the day.
6. Prepare Questions
Have questions about:
- Maintenance?
- Warranty coverage?
- How to operate the door during a power outage?
Make a note and ask your installer on the day — we’re here to help.
Site Not Ready = $330 Fee
If the site is not prepared as outlined above, we may not be able to proceed. A $330 re-attendance fee will apply.
We look forward to delivering a smooth, professional install — first time, every time.
