Here are a few maintenance checks you can do if your garage door won’t open or close:

  • Check your power or power socket and make sure it’s live. Try plugging in another device such as a lamp or drill to see if they receive power.
  • When using a remote or wall panel button, we need to check if the motor is working properly. Press the red button on your motor unit. If your door opens or closes, your motor is working fine. The issue is likely with the remote or the wall panel.
  • Change your remote’s batteries

If none of these work, you can manually open your door with the pull cord. Make sure you pull it firmly but not forcefully since it could snap.
